Former Jaguars quarterback Mark Brunell will be inducted into the Pride of the Jaguars at halftime of the Jaguars Dec. 15 game against the Buffalo Bills. Brunell will join former offensive tackle Tony Boselli (2006), former owners Wayne and Delores Weaver (2011) and running back Fred Taylor (2012) as the fifth member of the "Pride of the Jaguars." The Jaguars starter from 1995-2003, Brunell is one of 13 players in Jaguars history to play nine seasons or more. He started 117 of his 120 games played and completed 2,184 of 3,616 passes for 25,698 yards with 144 touchdowns and 86 interceptions -- all Jaguars career records. Brunells 4,367 passing yards in 1996 led the NFL, he was voted to the AFC Pro Bowl squad three times and was named the games MVP in 1997. "I am truly honored and grateful for this recognition," Brunell said. "I cherish my memories of playing here in Jacksonville because in many ways those were the best years of my career. My family and I h...

Report: Jags not shopping other players like MJD, Lewis

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that the Jaguars are not shopping any of their veteran players like RB Maurice Jones-Drew or TE Marcedes Lewis. Rapoport adds that Jacksonville would need to be “blown away” to consider trading a veteran. GM David Caldwell and HC Gus Bradley reportedly reached out to veterans on Wednesday to explain their thinking with the Eugene...

Jaguars receive 4th and 5th Rounders from Baltimore in exchange for Monroe

@ryanohalloran: Source says #jaguars will get Baltimore’s fourth and fifth round picks in 2014 for Monroe. That is a steal if you ask me. The former first round pick Eugene Monroe was my 9th best tackle in the NFL in the beginning of the year. That is a good trade for both teams.

Report: Jaguars trade Eugene Monroe to Ravens

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed in principle to trade OT Eugene Monroe to the Baltimore Ravens, pending a physical. The post Report: Jaguars Trade OT Eugene Monroe To The Ravens appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.

Jaguars commit $20M for new stadium scoreboards

Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan has pledged $20 million to help fund new scoreboards. The scoreboards, which are expected to cost $63 million and be the largest in the world, should raise the city's profile in regards to future host sites for college football playoffs. The city will provide the other $43 million, with much of it coming from a 2 percent charge on area hotel...

Jaguars Unlikely to Give Away Free Beer to Sell Tickets Again After Another Poor Turnout

The Jaguars are going to great lengths to try and sell tickets, but apparently even free beer won’t fill the seats. The Jaguars ran a promotion, offering free beer to fans who bought tickets last week, but the results weren’t great. Attendance at EverBank Field for Sunday’s 37-3 loss to the Colts was 59,695, according to ESPN. That number doesn’t look so bad in comparison...

“Tebow why not?” banner flew over the Jaguars stadium

According to Black Sports Online,  the banner shown above flew over the Jaguars stadium on Sunday. CBS Sports is reporting the latest pleas for Tebow coming from the group known as ‘JAGS-TEBOW, WHY NOT.’ At least we know that they don’t plan on giving up anytime soon. They had a rally on Sept 16 in support of Tebow to the Jags, but unfortunately only 16 people showed up...

Jaguars mascot takes 40 paintballs to the chest after losing a bet (Video)

You would think the Jacksonville Jaguars mascot Jaxon DeVillewould learn by  now. He lost a bet last week and had to wear a thong and now he lost another wager and took 40 paint balls to the chest.  Last week, he and the Indianapolis Colts’ mascot decided that whoever’s team lost Sunday’s game would have to withstand a barrage of paintballs equal to the total number of points...

Someone Please Save the Jacksonville Jaguars Mascot From Himself

Loyalty in sports is important. In this day and age of fair weather fans that head to Twitter to whenever their team loses it is nice to see someone like the Jacksonville Jaguars mascot that is willing to make silly bets to prove how much he loves his team. However, if he isn't careful he might not make it through the season. Last week it was just dancing in a Speedo...

Jags hope Cecil Shorts, Justin Blackmon become go-to WRs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- For a franchise with a relatively brief NFL history, the Jacksonville Jaguars sure have some track record when it comes to receivers. It's not an impressive resume, either. Sure, Jimmy Smith and Keenan McCardell were a dynamic duo in the late 1990s and early 2000s. But in the decade-plus since, the Jaguars have cycled through more go-to receivers...

Jacksonville Jaguars trade OT Eugene Monroe to the Baltimore Ravens

Trade for Jaguars: The Jaguars just sold a franchise left tackle for pennies on the dollar (multiple 3rd day picks). Ordinarily, that’s an awful deal, but Monroe was heading into free agency this off-season and the Jaguars are so awful. It’s totally believable that they knew they wouldn’t be able to re-sign him after the season and it’s not like they’re doing anything this...

Ravens acquire OT Eugene Monroe from Jaguars

The Ravens have acquired offensive tackle Eugene Monroe from the Jacksonville Jaguars according to league sources. Terms of the deal were not available Tuesday night. Monroe is a starting left tackle and will likely be competing with Bryant McKinnie for a starting spot on the Ravens offensive line. McKinnie was signed to a two-year contract worth $6.3 million including a $2 million...

Jaguars wonder what's next after Monroe trade

Eugene Monroe made a slow lap around the locker room Wednesday, shaking handshakes and sharing hugs with his former teammates. It was Monroe's chance to say goodbye. He just as easily could have said good riddance. The Jacksonville Jaguars are off to their worst start in franchise history. They're winless through four games, have scored a league-low 31 points and are already...

Hot Pickups – Week Five

Hot Pickups – Week Five Justin Blackmon – Blackmon is somehow available in 58 percent of Yahoo! leagues despite being a recommended WR3 draft target. Blackmon returns from suspension this week and should be the top waiver add in those leagues he is still floating on the waiver wire. Blackmon is by far the most talented receiver on the Jaguars and should be in for a hefty workload...

14 Ways the Denver Broncos/Jacksonville Jaguars Game Can Become Competitive

In a couple weeks we will be subject to what is likely going to be the worst game of professional football every played. It will be reminiscent of many of the top college powerhouses playing lowly FCS teams; the kind of game that is so lopsided even fans of the winning team just want it to be over when the fourth quarter beings. I'm talking about the Denver Broncos/Jacksonville...
