PLAYERS: Chris Mortensen
TEAMS: Chicago Bears
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, right now the Chicago Bears don’t have any plans of signing free agent JaMarcus Russell or the other two quarterbacks they worked out.  But Russell did weigh in at 267 pounds. We recently reported that Russell is weighing 265.  So he seems to have leveled off a bit.     Need NFL Tickets? Report: JaMarcus Russell's workout with Bears went well

We guess you could call this a major step in the comeback of former draft bust QB JaMarcus Russell. Whether it translates into a contract offer is another story. "Positive reviews" was the phrase uttered by Michael C. Wright of ESPNChicago.com, according to a source who apparently witnessed Russell showcase his talents. The source said that he 'showed a "big...

Brandon Marshall Says Bears Coaches Are Best He’s Ever Been Around

Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall is coming off a season in which he had 118 receptions, 1,508 yards and 11 touchdowns. Those are not bad numbers to get in an offense that was deemed anemic, and caused the head coach to be fired.  Marshall is practicing for the first time since having hip surgery in January, but is ecstatic about the Bears offensive potential with a new...

Former Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler jumping into a pool is just absurd

Jay Cutler is now married; do you care?

Chicago Bears starting QB Jay Cutler is now officially married; multiple sources report. This isn’t really shocking news, more just a formality. Jay Cutler has been engaged to “reality star” (if there is such a thing) Kristin Cavallari for quite a long time. Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler have had a kid for quite a while too. So Jay Cutler getting married is kind of…..well...

Bears not likely to sign Russell

Although reports of Russell's performance at Friday's workout were altogether positive, it's unlikely that the Bears will be jumping at the opportunity to sign him, Trent Edwards or Jordan Palmer, both of whom worked out in the same session as Russell. While JaMarcus Russell showed up at an acceptable weight and threw the ball with exceptional arm strength, according...

Bears Unlikely to Sign JaMarcus Russell

The good news for JaMarcus is at least he is getting an opportunity to show that he still has some skills. His arm is never going to go away, but he has shown some dedication in getting his weight down to a manageable level. His work out with the Bears wasn’t bad, they just don’t have any plans to sign him at the moment. Former Oakland Raiders No. 1 overall pick JaMarcus Russell put...
