Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry is slated to become a free agent if he and the team do not come to terms on a contract extension.

According to Landry, talks are moving slowly.

“They’re moving. They’re moving slowly, but they’re moving,” Landry said, per Kevin Patra of NFL.com. “And again for me, [for] the most part I’ve been out trying to enjoy my time with my family, with these other guys — these talented guys around the league, and just letting the rest take care of itself.”

While he remains patient, Landry expressed his desire to stay with the Dolphins.

According to the report, Landry is hoping for a deal close to that of Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams. Adams just inked a four-year $58 million deal including a guaranteed $18 million.

Per Landry’s agent, he said the receiver is not interested in taking a discounted contract to stay with the Dolphins.

Landry tallied a league-high 112 receptions in 2017, amounting to 987 yards and nine touchdowns. He was also the fifth-most targeted player last season.

If a deal doesn’t get done with Miami before the start of free agency, the Pro-Bowl receiver will be sure to attract plenty of attention on the open market.
