Though he's now a Jaguar, Jason Babin still harbors significant hostility toward the Eagles, who surprisingly released him last month.

Made available to the media Wednesday, Babin didn't hold his tongue. The defensive end touched on a variety topics, including his time in Philly and their "socialistic" organization.

For the former, Babin intimated that he just never jived in the City of Brotherly Love.

"They have a different approach and a different style than I do," Babin said, via Adam Caplan of The Sideline View. "It’s upsetting because they knew what they were getting when they hired me. I don’t know if they were going to try and change me. My stripes are kind of already the way they are, the way I practice, aggressive, loud, the way I play the game. I don’t know, I just guess they thought they could change the way I went about my business."

In reference to his "socialistic" barb, Babin pointed to the firing of defensive line coach Jim Washburn as an example of the Eagles' system at work.

"They don’t have amicable splits with people," he said. "You saw how dirty they did (Jim) Washburn with leaking out the false stories and the way they talked about him on the way out. It’s kind of a big socialistic system that they have."

Washburn, who reinvented Babin in his "Wide-9" scheme, was let go during the season, taking the fall for a wildly underperforming unit. Babin was given his walking papers -- one year after totaling 18 sacks -- because other players, such as Brandon Graham, were waiting in the wings.

The two situations are hardly coincidental; it's obvious what the club's brass thought of both men.

Because Philadelphia has suffered through the nightmare that is the 2012 campaign, they're likely to shrug off Babin's claims as sour grapes. That may very well be the case, considering the sudden nature of the breakup, but it'll be interesting if his accusations are ever brought to light.
