Fox Sports Florida:
Jeff Demps is keeping busy on the track for the rest of July and will likely get an invite to compete at the world championships in mid-August.
But when he's done, one of the world's fastest men plans to play for the Tampa Bay Bucs.
Demps will almost certainly compete at the IAAF World Championships in Moscow, but when the track event is over on Aug. 18 he will join the Bucs for the final few weeks of the preseason, the Tampa Tribune and Tampa Bay Times reported.
"Jeff believes in finishing what he starts," said Demps' agent, Daniel Rose, told the Tribune. "And so what he wants to do is finish out the track season and, once that's finished, then he'll report to the Bucs."
Demps won a silver medal as part of the the U.S. 4x100 relay team at the 2012 London Games. He also competed in both track and football at Florida. Demps was acquired by Tampa in a trade with New England this offseason.

What is that sound the distance? Doug Martin is anything but a no-brainer in the first round of fantasy drafts? That hardly seems justified for a statistical stud that barreled his way to a 1,454 yard, 11 touchdown rookie season. And yet, fake football GMs around the country continue to have their doubts. Are Martin’s noteworthy achievements only the first of many steps toward a...
One thing is certain for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers under the leadership of head coach Greg Schiano, he puts up with no ****. Plain and simple. The second year head coach is a no holds barred leader on the sidelines. Whether his actions translate into wins on the field remain to be seen, but Schiano has put his stamp on this team early and often while heading into his second season...

It would seem Eric Wright didn't take the Bucs front office seriously.
If "Toes on the Line" was anything, it was a message; Don't test Schiano's resolve.
In further proof these are not the same old Bucs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers released CB Wright a week after a DUI in California, and you get the feeling if his position was anything except cornerback...
