It seems Rex Ryan isn't the only one who recently hid out in the Caribbean.

A source exclusively tells Helmet2Helmet that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones flew directly from Washington, D.C. to St. Maarten island in the early hours of Monday morning.

Jones presumably bolted immediately out of FedEx Field, where his team's season ended following a loss to the Redskins.

The source added:

I worked his plane, N1DC a Gulfstream 5, on radar out of BWI to TNCM(SXM) at 2:30am on Monday morning

Jones' plane, a G5 jet, can be seen here. BWI is Baltimore/Washington International. TNCM/SXM is Princess Juliana International Airport, located in St. Maarten, often referred to as the "crossroads of the Caribbean."

It's not a particularly long flight -- around 4 1/2 hours, perfect for a quick getaway after a heartbreaking defeat. Jones apparently returned to the States by Wednesday, when he conducted his weekly radio interview and angrily vowed that changes are afoot.

While this dollop of news has flown under the radar -- pun intended -- the exotic locale definitely fits Jones' personality, and is not at all a bad place to drown any lingering sorrows from a disappointing season.
