This is a gracious statement by Jones.
According to NFL.com, Mrs. Jones will join other famous football wives on the platform in Canton, including Brenda Warner, Kim Singletary and Deanna Favre at the Aug. 5 ceremony.
As for Jones, she and Jerry are icons in the NFL world and have been married 54 years. The saying “happy wife, happy life” surely comes to mind in reading Jerry’s sentimental tribute to his wife Gene.
