PLAYERS: Rex RyanMark Sanchez
TEAMS: New York Jets
Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez just completed his fourth straight game with a completion percentage of under 50 percent but coach Rex Ryan still backs him as his starter, Conor Orr of the Newark Star-Ledger reports.

When asked this morning if Sanchez was still the starter, Ryan said, "Yeah, no question."

Ryan wouldn't comment on what it would take to prompt a change under center.

"I'm not getting into the what-ifs and all that," he said. "We're not preparing to lose that's for sure. We're thinking we're going to win."

In light of the pathetic and humiliating loss to the Houston Texans, I have taken it upon myself to compile a list of problems the New York Jets had in the game, and problems the team has as a whole. It seems to me that Mark Sanchez is the root of every single problem—on the field and off—and I intend to point that out. This is a team that has been plagued with injuries, or ...

Ryan says Sanchez will remain Jets starter "this week"

People are going to read into the wording used by New York Jets coach Rex Ryan when he said on Wednesday that Mark Sanchez will remain the Jets starting quarterback "this week." The fact that Ryan did not commit beyond Sunday's game against Indianapolis may or may not mean anything, but it certainly will fuel speculation about whether Tim Tebow could become the starter...

For almost five years now, sports fans everywhere have been irritated to no end about Tim Tebow. It began in college when he became the first sophomore in history to win the Heisman Trophy. Vote: Should Tim Tebow or Mark Sanchez Start at Quarterback for the Jets?

There is a very real quarterback controversy going on in New York and it is hard to decide who the winner will be. One thing is for sure though: things can't get much worse for the Jets. Gang Green enters Monday night's game against the Houston Texans at 2-2 but with little else to feel good about. After thrashing the Bills in Week 1, the Jets have were handled by the Steelers...

Jets owner plans to keep Tebow for three years

Having been a long-time confidant of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Woody Johnson, some say, is more political than football-oriented. On Wednesday morning, Johnson appeared in an interview on CNBC and was asked if Tebow will remain with the Jets beyond 2012...

Why we may not see more Tim Tebow from the Jets afterall

Last year, about this time, it happened. The underperforming Denver Broncos removed Kyle Orton from his position as starter and anointed Tim Tebow to his spot. Without getting into details, we know the story from there. With Tebow at quarterback the Broncos reeled off a number of impressive late game victories and found themselves in the playoffs … Continue reading

The Jets Need to Refuel Their Engines

At this point the Jets have no answers on offense at all.  Tebow or Sanchez?  Where’s first round pick from a few years ago in Shonne Greene.  Santonio Holmes was their best offensive weapon and he’s done for the season.  I think Antonio Cromartie was right when he said he was the second best  receiver on the team.  He beat Johnathan Joseph badly on a stop and go route...
