After last year's "year of the tight end", Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez became two of the most threatening receivers in the New England offense. Being in the same division as the best passing quarterback in the league, our very own Tom Brady, the New York Jets had no other option, but to adjust their defense to compete against this powerful offense.Last year, Gronkowski lead the league for receivers with 17 touchdowns, and also lead the tight end category with the most yards at the end of the 2011 season. Aaron Hernandez, not far behind Gronkowski, was fourth in for tight ends with 910 yards. These two tight ends proved time and time again to be a big part of the offense.Over the off season, the Jets added two new safeties to try and tame these two beasts, signing LaRon Landry and Yeremiah Bell.
