The New York Jets showed some resilience Monday night while many were expecting the type of beat down that the San Francisco 49ers inflicted upon them last week. But playing at home and pride go a long way when your back is against the wall. The Jets, who have lost arguably the two biggest stars on the team, Darrelle Revis and Santonio Holmes for the season, put together some fight and almost pulled it off. A tipped Mark Sanchez pass that was intercepted just before the two-minute warning sealed their fate and the win for the Texans, who were holding on to a 6-point lead. Houston running back Arian Foster was virtually unstoppable, running for 150 yards, his best output of the season. Antonio Cromartie did a great job shutting down receiver Andre Johnson, who had a pretty quiet night. We also saw Cromartie line up at receiver, a reminder of how desperate New York is at the position.

Stats show Mark Sanchez is the devil

Yes, fans of the New York Jets you heard correctly. It all makes so much sense now as to why Tim Tebow felt the need to be traded to the New York Jets.Mark Sanchez is the devil.Last night was not only the 666th broadcast of Monday Night Football, but Mark Sanchez has some crazy numbers heading into Week 6 of the NFL Season.Sanchez has 6 touchdown passes, 6 interceptions, has an average...

Sanchez, Jets can't run with Foster, Texans

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- A week after the Jets' lifeless 35-0 performance against the San Francisco 49ers, New York showed a pulse Monday Night. The pulse, however, was not enough to overcome the Houston Texans -- or their own miscues. Mark Sanchez threw two interceptions, both coming at costly times for the Jets, who found themselves in the thick of a game that everyone had...

Interview with Rob Carpenter: Former Jet WR

Rob Carpenter: Former New York Jet If you’re a New York Jets fan, you probably have a lot of concerns right now. Injuries have sidelined Darrelle Revis and Santonio Holmes for the season, many fans and media are calling for Tebow to start, Mike Tannenbaum’s job may be on the line, and the list goes on and on. I recently spoke with former New York Jets wide receiver, Rob Carpenter...

The Jets need to refuel their engines

At this point the Jets have no answers on offense at all. Tebow or Sanchez? Where’s first round pick from a few years ago in Shonne Greene. Santonio Holmes was their best offensive weapon and he’s done for the season. I think Antonio Cromartie was right when he said he was the second best receiver on the team. He beat Johnathan Joseph badly on a stop and go route on Monday...

With Revis out, it's Cromartie vs. Johnson

Antonio Cromartie knows exactly how to shut down Andre Johnson. It's all right there on film from two years ago. That's when Darrelle Revis held the Houston Texans wide receiver to just one catch for 7 measly yards in the New York Jets' 30-27 victory. Easy enough, right? Well, with Revis out for the season with a torn knee ligament, it will be Cromartie's job Monday...

NFL Rumors: Tim Tebow To Get Opportunity To Surpass Mark Sanchez As Jets Starting QB On MNF?

The New York Jets will take on the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football, and they will do so with Mark Sanchez as the starting quarterback. How much longer he holds that position atop the Jets’ depth chart remains to be seen. New York signed Sanchez to a ridiculous contract extension this offseason, one in which they may be regretting right now. He has played rather poorly to...

J.J. Watt Destroys Sanchez, Jets On Monday Night Football

Monday Night Football illuminated the dominance of the Houston Texans' J.J. Watt. He not only demonstrated to a national audience that he is worthy of leading the National Football League in sacks with 8.5 of them under his belt, but he can change the course of a game and possibly the career of a New York Jets' quarterback with a single swat of his hand.J.J. Watt rescued...

Jets' many flaws clear in loss to Texans

Mark Sanchez had his moments - good and bad - for the Jets. Tim Tebow, too. But some of the Jets' biggest flaws were on full display in their 23-17 loss to the Houston Texans. They couldn't run the ball, the defense couldn't stop the run and Tebow still isn't running on the field much. Rex Ryan says the Jets need to get their running game going for the offense to...

Ryan says Sanchez will remain Jets starter "this week"

People are going to read into the wording used by New York Jets coach Rex Ryan when he said on Wednesday that Mark Sanchez will remain the Jets starting quarterback "this week." The fact that Ryan did not commit beyond Sunday's game against Indianapolis may or may not mean anything, but it certainly will fuel speculation about whether Tim Tebow could become the starter...

Top 10 reasons why Rex Ryan is sticking with Mark Sanchez

Yes, I added this for Gay Porn Traffic10) Ryan is an agnostic who rejects ESPN and all of His works9) Once he plays this card and loses, the Jets will no longer be interesting to even the tabloids8) Wants to keep Designated Sidehow Tim Tebow fresh for those crucial fake punts7) Hasn't done quite enough to bury the man's chances at every having a career outside of New York...

Houston Texans at New York Jets Preview and Prediction

After Arizona’s loss on Thursday night, the Texans, along with the Falcons, are one of the two undefeated teams left in the NFL. Tonight, they take on the 2-2 Jets, who are coming into this game after a 34-0 loss to San Francisco last week. The calls for Tim Tebow will surely be heard tonight if Mark Sanchez struggles. Houston and New York square off tonight on Monday Night Football...

Jets, Texans tied 7-7 after 1 quarter

Heavily criticized Mark Sanchez hit Jeff Cumberland with a perfect 27-yard touchdown pass, lifting the New York Jets into a 7-7 tie with Houston after one quarter Monday night. The Jets, who have won all five meetings with the Texans, were coming off a 34-0 home loss to the 49ers in which their offense, defense and special teams were pitiful. But an interception by Antonio Cromartie...

New York Jets: Three Reasons They Can Salvage Their Season

Watching the game last night I saw a New York Jets team that I haven't seen in over a year. It was the team that refused to quit. Take that, Carlos Rogers! I am not suggesting that the Jets have had any type of rebirth or are on their way to the playoffs, but what I saw last night excited me. There are three good reasons that the New York Jets will salvage a season and stay ...

Monday Night Football: Texans, Jets Heading in Opposite Directions

With what looked like a decent Monday Night Football match up on paper when the 2012 NFL schedule was first released, the Texans at the Jets now looks like it could see the mercy rule invoked. With the Texans on the rise, consistently beating teams by double digits, the flailing Jets, who were embarrassed at home last week by a 34-0 thrashing, look to be heading in the opposite direction...

Houston Texans vs. New York Jets: Five Things We Learned

The Texans and Jets have had very differing seasons. The Texans began the season 4-0, and have not had much competition to date.Through a strong defensive unit, and an explosive offensive attack, many expect the Texans to pummel the majority of their opponents and make it to the Super Bowl. The Jets on the other hand, have had quite a disappointing season. They are normally regarded...
