In the midst of a train wreck season, the 3-6 New York Jets are proving what basically everyone was saying when they traded for Tim Tebow in the offseason - it will become a distraction. And that big distraction reared it's ugly head again this week with anonymous players criticizing Tebow. GM Mike Tannenbuam is the guy that pulled the trigger on the trade, and just as Rex Ryan is responsible for the players on the field, Tannenbaum is responsible for choosing those players who are on the field. He was a guest on WFAN in New York:  “I look at Tim as a great teammate, a competitor,” Tannenbaum said. “He’s done a lot of great things for us. You see him on the practice field working hard. . . . From a production standpoint it hasn’t been necessarily where we thought it’d be, but he has converted first downs.” On Jets players calling Tebow "terrible": “I hated that; I was disappointed to see it.” Tannenbaum doesn't see what's going right now as a sign that his days are numbered in New York, claimign it's the last thing on his mind. “I’m not worried about me right now. I’m the last thing I’m worried about — I’m worried about this team and anything I can do to help,” he said. “I feel like we’re going to turn it around.”  At 3-6, a big turnaround seems unlikely in the Jets' current state. We think it's very possible that the Rex and Mike show might be in it's final season, but unlike some popular TV show, we're not going to see some spectacular final episode. var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
