The Jets left struggling pass rusher Aaron Maybin inactive for today's game and replaced him on the game day roster with linebacker Ricky Sapp. Defensive coordinator Mike Pettine hinted toward the move on Thursday when he said the recently-promoted Sapp had essentially the same role as Maybin.
On the plus side for the Jets linebacking corps, Bart Scott (toe) will be active today after missing the Miami game with a hyper-extended toe while S Eric Smith (knee) will also be active today after missing the last few weeks.
Kenrick Ellis (knee) and RB Joe McKnight (ankle) will not be active.
Here's a complete list for the Jets: QB Greg McElroy, RB Joe McKnight, LB Aaron Maybin, G Caleb Schlauderaff, G Hayworth Hicks, TE Hayden Smith and NT Kenrick Ellis. Source: Newark Star Ledger Attached Thumbnails

New York Jets Offense – A Failure From Top To Bottom
The New York Jets offense has sank to 30th in the NFL. We are now talking Blaine Gabbert bad. When you are this incompetent, it is a failure of their entire unit and really of the entire organization. Consider this reality: through nine games there is ONE player on the entire Jets offensive roster who has exceeded expectations this year – Jeremy Kerley. Everybody else has performed...

Jets Will Stick By Wildcat, Rex Ryan Says
A tired-looking Rex Ryan returned from Seattle after what he described as a long night following the Jets 28-7 loss to the Seahawks Sunday. But even in his fatigue, Ryan stressed essentially what he had last night: the quarterback situation, and the wildcat situation, will not change as a result of the demoralizing loss in Seattle.
Asked if it is time to give up on the wildcat...

Offense again atrocious as Jets lose to Seahawks
BY NICK ST. DENISOffense just isn't the New York Jets' thing.Sunday, New York's offensive line had no push in the run game and couldn't protect Mark Sanchez, and when it did, Sanchez either couldn't made a decent throw or saw his receivers, namely usually sure-handed tight end Dustin Keller, drop passes. So despite a very good showing by the defense, the Jets couldn...
