Marcus Dowtin, active for the first time in his career last week against the Dolphins, was fined $15,750 for a QB hit to the head on Matt Moore, according to a person with knowledge of the fine. That person requested anonymity because the NFL does not make fines public.
Dowtin threw his hands up as Moore threw a pass on third-and-9 with 6:02 remaining in the third quarter and came down into Moore's facemask, which also drew a 15-yard penalty.

Yesterday, the Miami Dolphins welcomed Ryan Tannehill back to the practice field. Tannehill was limited in Wednesday’s practice, only taking part in individual drills. Matt Moore took the majority of the actual practice snaps with the entire first...

Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill listed as questionable
DAVIE, Fla. (AP) -- Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Indianapolis, and coach Joe Philbin says there's no timetable for a decision on whether he'll play.
Tannehill was limited in practice for the third day in a row Friday and again wore a brace on his left leg. He left Sunday's 30-9 victory over the New York...
Tannehill will face Luck this week but could be pulled by coaches
Ryan Tannehill (knee) is expected to be on a short leash if he gets the green light for Sunday’s game versus the Colts. A source tells the Palm Beach Post that the coaching staff won’t be afraid to go to the bullpen for Matt Moore “if Tannehill’s knee inhibits his play.”
This is just to be careful with their very promising quarterback. It will be interesting to see how...
Reggie Bush And His Lady On A Boat
I’m the captain of this boat Juan…
Do you think Reggie is bumping a little ‘I’m On A Boat’ or ‘Boats And Hoes’ while taking his lady sailing? I just thinking it’s about time time he gets back to running like he did early in the season and this is the perfect matchup to do so.

Dolphins CB Richard Marshall Struggling With His Back Injury
Dolphins cornerback Richard Marshall is certain he's letting his team and his teammates down, but he openly admits he has no choice.
The Dolphins starting cornerback has missed the past three games because of a back injury that surfaced in mid-September. The pain has lingered for a month and there is no clear timetable on when he'll fully recover.
"Stressful. That...
Dolphins game plan versus Colts
It's week nine of the NFL season and the Miami Dolphins take their three game winning streak to Indianapolis to take on the Colts in a game that was not expected to have much significance. However, those expectations are three months old and the matchup that was projected to decide which team would likely land the first overall pick in the 2013 draft now has...
Tannehill hopeful to play vs. Colts, Hartline listed as questionable
A historic NFL matchup may come down to a game time decision on Sunday as Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill was limited once again at practice on Friday and is listed as questionable on the injury report. If Tannehill is able to suit up against fellow first round pick Andrew Luck, it would be the first game between two rookie quarterbacks taken in the first ten picks with a winning...
Dolphins C Mike Pouncey Says Ryan Tannehill Is The Best Rookie QB In NFL
Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey says that Ryan Tannehill is the best rookie quarterback in the NFL, Chris Tomasson of Fox Sports Florida reports.
"I think he's the best rookie quarterback in the NFL right now," Pouncey said of Tannehill, taken by Miami with the No. 8 pick in last April's NFL draft. "Without his success that he's having right now, we...
Ryan Tannehill 50/50 To Start vs. Colts
According to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (quad, knee) is "50-50" to start against the Indianapolis Colts Sunday. Tannehill had his knee drained twice this week.Fantasy Spin:Tannehill took all of Miami's first-team snaps during the media portion of Thursday's practice so he seems to be on track to play Sunday but it could come down to...
Mike Pouncey: Ryan Tannehill is NFL’s best rookie QB, will be like Tom Brady
You could easily make the argument that Ryan Tannehill has exceeded expectations as the starting quarterback of the Miami Dolphins this season. His TD-to-interception ratio of 4-to-6 is underwhelming, but Tannehill’s quarterback rating of 75.8 is not all that bad for a rookie leading an offense. Most importantly, he has played well enough to lead the Dolphins to a 4-3 record.
But...
NFL Fantasy Football Injury News: Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill 50-50 to play Sunday
If the NFL season ended today, the Miami Dolphins would have earned one of the AFC’s two wildcard playoff berths, based in part by the strong play of rookie QB Ryan Tannehill. As the Dolphins prepare to take on the Indianapolis Colts, Miami might have to take the field without Tannehill this week.
ESPN’s Ed Werder confirmed on Friday that Tannehill is indeed a 50-50 bet to start...
Matchup Spotlight: Winston Justice vs. Cameron Wake
As the Colts look to face Miami this week in Indianapolis, one of the primary matchups that may decide the result of the game will be the Dolphins' left defensive end Cameron Wake versus the Colts' right tackle Winston Justice.
Although Justice had a down game last week, allowing six hurries and one hit, he's had a very good year thus far in pass protection. Before...
Miami Dolphins at Indianapolis Colts: Week 9 NFL Pick
Miami Dolphins (4-3) at Indianapolis Colts (4-3)
Both of these teams sit at 4-3, meaning this game could easily have playoff implications and one or both of these teams could make the playoffs. I bet you didn’t see that coming. I would say these teams are pretty equal. I had Miami ranked 10th in my Power Rankings and Indianapolis ranked 11th. However, for some reason, Miami is...
