As if the Jets have not gotten enough attention after trading for Tim Tebow, Jets owner Woody Johnson left the door open for the team to be featured on HBO's "Hard Knocks" this summer. There has been speculation that HBO is interested in having the Jets back on its behind-the-scenes show, especially with Tebow now on board. "I've heard that," Johnson said Monday at the grand opening of a temporary NFL Shop in Manhattan. "We have yet to receive a formal invitation. When we do, we'll take a look at it." The Jets starred on the show in 2010, with a look at the Darrelle Revis negotiations, position competitions and coach Rex Ryan's foul language. HBO did not produce the show last year because of the lockout. While Johnson said there has been no formal invitation extended to the Jets, it sounds like there have been some preliminary discussions. Johnson suggested he would be in favor of the team doing it again, but he could meet resistance from Ryan and general manager Mike Tannenbaum. "I thought it was a tremendous value. I think the fan got to know the team a lot better. I've heard nothing but positives," Johnson said. Jets tight end Dustin Keller said he would not mind if the team chooses to allow the HBO cameras into training camp again. "I think it was pretty easy for us," Keller said. "We would be good for 'Hard Knocks.' We're a good team to have, especially with Rex's personality. You have the Tebow trade. I definitely see how it could be appealing to everybody." The Jets lost to the Steelers in the AFC Championship Game in the season they were featured on "Hard Knocks."
