Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis continues to dodge questions about his contract status. But the answers are there for those that care to read between the lines.

Revis signed a seven-year deal in September 2010 after a 36-day holdout, setting up another payday by the time he reaches age 28 because of options that can make it a four-year contract. That deal included $32 million guaranteed with a total value of $46 million. But that includes a total of $13.5 million over the next two seasons. He made $32.5 million in 2010 and 2011.

Revis' agents had reportedly asked for a $10-year, $162 million deal in 2010 and the gap to close was significant. Coach Rex Ryan made a trip to Florida to speak to Revis to help facilitate that contract. But he said Thursday that the contract issue is between Revis and general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Revis was asked if he planned to be present for the first day of training camp in July.

"I don't know," Revis said.

Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr signed a five-year, $50.1 million deal in March, topping the $50 million deal the Rams handed corner Cortland Finnegan. Carr's deal includes $26.5 million guaranteed, of which $10 million was a signing bonus.

The previous standard-bearer was Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha. His five-year, $60 million deal signed July 29, 2011, included $25 million in guaranteed money.
