A.J. Jenkins no longer is in a San Francisco 49ers uniform after being dealt to Kansas City. Coach Jim Harbaugh is still coming to the defense of his former receiver.
Harbaugh took the opportunity Wednesday to again criticize those who delivered a negative take on Jenkins, the 2012 first-round pick who underachieved in his one-plus season with San Francisco.
Asked a question Wednesday...
The Chiefs were tired of waiting on Jon Baldwin and the 49ers were tired of waiting on A.J. Jenkins.
So naturally they traded their problems for one another.
The Chiefs announced the deal of former first-round wide receivers with the 49ers getting the 26th overall pick in the 2011 Draft for the 30th overall pick in the 2012 Draft.
It was becoming clear that the 49ers were souring...
49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh wouldn’t say whether or not second-year wide receiver A.J. Jenkins is in jeopardy of not making their final roster, according to the Sacramento Bee.
Asked if Jenkins’ draft status or the salary-cap ramifications of cutting him factor in as far as whether he makes the team, Harbaugh said, “Things factor in, but – longstanding — football hasn’t...
The 49ers announced today that they have traded wide receiver AJ Jenkins to the Kansas City Chiefs for wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin. Once both players pass their physicals, the trade is a done deal.

If it wasn’t already clear it now is. The Hall of Fame career of Randy Moss has ended.
During the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s game between the Colts and Giants Moss told Joe Buck of FOX that Moss won’t be returning to play football despite an ongoing rash of receiver injuries.

The San Francisco 49ers have dealt former first round pick, wide receiver A.J. Jenkins to the Kansas City Chiefs for their former first round wide receiver, Jon Baldwin. Obviously, both teams are hoping that a change of scenery is what both players need to revive their careers. Jenkins, who was the 30th overall pick in last year’s draft out of Illinois, only played in three games...

Last year, former 49ers first round pick, A.J. Jenkins played in three games and had zero receptions. In what seemed like a case of slow development, it appeared that Jenkins was set to start opposite Anquan Boldin this season...
It looks like the A.J. Jenkins experiment in San Francisco has been a failure.

This is a very interesting deal for the 49ers. The Chiefs dealing Baldwin isn’t unprecedented. He’s largely been a bust through the first two years of his career and the Head Coach/GM combo of Todd Haley and Scott Pioli that drafted him is gone. Andy Reid and John Dorsey aren’t making a mistake getting rid of him. They’re just trying to get the best 53 possible.

Former first-round wide receiver A.J. Jenkins has been traded to the Kansas City Chiefs.Fantasy Spin:Jenkins had a huge opportunity to grab a big role in the 49ers offense when Michael Crabtree went down with an injury this spring, but by all accounts, failed miserably. Jenkins will be re-united with his old quarterback, Alex Smith, though the two didn't hook up for even a single...
This doesn’t look good for the former first round pick. If you cannot make it on the 49ers depleted depth chart at wide receiver, i don’t know how you will help any team. @MaioccoCSN: Source: The 49ers have been talking to teams about trading A.J. Jenkins.
