Head coach Jim Harbaugh is going to come out of retirement for the San Francisco 49ers to play quarterback.
Well, for one day, at least.
Free agent wide receiver Randy Moss, who sat out all of last season after announcing his reserved retirement, will work out for the 49ers on Monday, one week after holding what was described as an impressive showing with the New Orleans Saints.
The 49ers want to see what Moss can do on the field, and since any current 49ers quarterbacks would not be allowed to throw to Moss until the new league year begins tomorrow afternoon, Harbaugh figured he can break out the old No. 12 jersey for one more day.
