On what was the final day of Cleveland  Browns Training Camp, cornerback Joe Haden was shown the door prior to the rest of his teammates for what is being dubbed as “being too rough.”

A bit before 10am on Wednesday, Haden was seen removing his pads, showing body language that would infer a poor mood, and heading into the Browns training facility shortly after receiving a few choice words from head coach Pat Shurmur. Team president Mike Holmgren would follow him in, only to return back to the practice field without the former seventh-overall draft pick.

Following practice, Shurmur would not address the Haden situation, claiming that he had immense respect for the player and his only regrets were the language that was used within ear shot of fans who were in attendance. Haden had reportedly been warned about his tackling earlier in the team’s traning camp. The hit which was essentially the final straw was placed on rookie wide receiver Travis Benjamin. The team was not practicing in full pads.

“This was pracitce number 21,” said Shurmur. “We have had 21 walk-throughs. As you might expect, none of us have had enough sleep in the last month and we get very emotional.”

Haden is still awaiting NFL ruling stemming from a reported use of prescription Adderall and could potentially miss up to four games of the season.
