We’re one week into free agency, and while many of the top players like Mike Wallace, Aqib Talib and Paul Kruger are off the market, there are still plenty of top players out there who could pay immediate dividends for their new team. The market for cornerbacks has been brutal. That may be why players like Brent Grimes, Nnamdi Asomugha and Antoine Winfield are fighting for the last penny. Savvy veterans in general haven’t been very sought after. Imagine how shocking it would be to hear just two years ago that guys like Ed Reed and Dwight Freeney were still just floating around in free agency. Jake Long was supposed to set the market for offensive tackles once he signed his four-year, $34 million contract. But plenty of quality players are still out there like Sebastian Vollmer and Eric Winston.
