Peyton Manning is an NFL record holder, arguably the best quarterback in the game right now and a surefire first-ballot Hall of Famer. But his boss, who knows a thing or two about playing quarterback in the NFL, thinks Manning does not get the recognition he deserves. John Elway, the Denver Broncos’ executive vice president of football operations and a two-time Super Bowl winner, said in an interview with the New York Daily News that people tend to forget that Manning has a championship to his name, as well. “He’s won a Super Bowl. For some reason he doesn’t seem to get the credit for having won one Super Bowl already,” Elway said. “I think maybe the comparison is Tom [Brady] going to five and Peyton having been to two and winning one, that may be it.” That has long been the narrative with Manning: he puts up astounding regular-season numbers but rarely gets it done in the playoffs. That was the case last year, when the eventual champion Baltimore Ravens upset the top-seeded Broncos...

Peyton Manning could end up retiring after this season

During a round-table discussion on Thursday, Broncos executive vice president of football operations John Elway told the media that he doesn’t know if Peyton Manning will decide to retire after this season. “You know, I don’t know. Peyton Manning had an audible where he had to do a karate kick

Peyton Manning’s seemingly complex audible calls have always been a big part of his game. The MVP quarterback calls out a million things before each play, and defenses have even said trying to study him is almost counterproductive because he’s always changing things. For instance, in the Denver Broncos’ playoff game against the San Diego […]

Peyton Manning‘s apparent obsession with the word “Omaha” during the Denver Broncos’ win over the San Diego Chargers Sunday quickly went viral as the nation attempted to decipher the quarterback’s code. But like the Chargers, no one knew what Manning meant as he yelled out “Omaha” a total of 44 times during the win, but the mystery surrounding his pre-snap diction grew...

Report: Peyton Manning Could Retire After Season

Given Peyton Manning’s historic regular season that will probably lead to yet another MVP award, you sometimes forget just how late in his career it is. Of course, typically quarterbacks who throw 55 Touchdowns and 5,000 yards aren’t close to walking away from the game completely. But per the New York Post it appears that […]

Who is your MVP?

Photo courtesy: files.nyu.edu The 2013 NFL MVP will be Peyton Manning.  Manning broke numerous passing records this year including most passing yards in a season, and most passing touchdowns in a season.  This MVP will be his fifth, just adding on to the record four MVP’s he already has.  There is a chance that this is #18’s last season.  It all will depend on a medical...

Peyton Manning-Tom Brady rivarly should be appreciated, not argued

Peyton Manning versus Tom Brady has become one of the best quarterback rivalries in the history of the NFL. No two quarterbacks have sparked more debate from fans than either of these Hall of Fame players. The years might change but the questions never do; which quarterback would you rather start a team with, Brady or Manning? If you had to win just one game, which quarterback...

You're in Broncos Country Now, Tommy

As I watched Phillip Rivers throw a tantrum on the sidelines, I couldn’t help but smile. I breathed a sigh of relief as the clock reached zero. Not only had the Broncos exorcised their demons from 2013, they had done it at the expense of Mr. Bolo Tie himself. It is a great feeling to be sure; however, the next challenge won’t be so easy. The New England Patriots were waiting for...
