John Fox just had to go and be a Debbie downer didn’t he.
The Denver Broncos are running the ball well this season, all while using a running back by committee approach. Yesterday we reported on the cool story of Broncos’ running backs Ronnie Hillman, Knowshon Moreno, and Montee Ball playing rocks, papers, scissors to determine who would get the touchdown carry on the goalline.
John Fox of course got wind of Hillman’s story and used his Tuesday session with the media to be the hard nosed coach he is, and refute Hillman’s story.
Fox just had to let us know that the Broncos use a more traditional method to decide that Hillman would be the ball carrier on the one-yard touchdown plunge.
“That’s just stuff for people who like to get on TV and have something to talk about,” Fox said, via Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com. “I mean, Ronnie Hillman was going back in the game, that had nothing to do with that, it was just trying to have fun I guess. Ronnie was going in the ballgame. We decide that, that had nothing to do with it.”
I guess John Fox refuted the cool story because god forbid three players might take it upon themselves to unselfishly decide who’d get the carry because the Broncos obviously can’t.

The Oakland Raiders are not very good this year. The Denver Broncos – well, they’re. So when the two teams faced off on Monday Night Football there was little doubt about the outcome of the game. However, there has been some doubt created as to how the team got there.
For the most part it was pretty easy to see how the Broncos beat the Raiders 37-21. Peyton Manning was his usual...
With the Philadelphia Eagles already on his mind Denver Broncos coach John Fox played rock to scissors paper to rock in dispelling the idea his team's running backs decided who would get a touchdown carry Monday night by playing a game on the sideline.

For fantasy football owners of Knowshon Moreno and Montee Ball you lost points because your running backs aren’t good at Rock-Paper-Scissors. During the 4th quarter of Denver rout of the Oakland Raiders it was Broncos RB Ronnie Hillman who scored a chippie touchdown and it was all because he won a child’s game.
From USA TODAY:
As the officials deliberated if Hillman had crossed...
The Denver Broncos running back trio used a game of rock-paper-scissors to decide who got to score against the Raiders (Credit: USA Today) Last night’s Monday Night Football game was nothing short of an embarrassment for the Oakland Raiders. Not only did they lose 37-21, but Peyton Manning and the Broncos offense drove down the field at ease in the first half. Manning ended the...
The Denver Broncos have created a fantasy football nightmare with their crowded backfield. Knowshon Moreno emerged as the clear-cut starter with his breakout performance against the New York Giants last weekend, but Ronnie Hillman and rookie Montee Ball have still received their fair share of carries. On Tuesday night, the trio may have decided fantasy […]
The Denver Broncos are going to have plenty of touchdowns to go around this season, but if there’s one group that’s going to miss out, it’s likely the running backs. Peyton Manning has 12 touchdowns through three games this season, and all his connections mean the rush may not get as many chances.
The good news is that Denver’s running backs seem to have worked out how they’re...
The Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders will face off tonight on Monday Night Football. The Broncos are heavily favored to win, winning over 80 percent of the 10,000 AccuScore simulated games. The Raiders (1-1) have had an above average start to the season, shocking a few critics who felt they’d be the worst team in the league. We can all now agree that award goes to the Jaguars...
The Broncos were so dominant in their win last night over the Raiders that their RBs Ronnie Hillman, Knowshon Moreno, and Montee Ball decided to play ‘rock, paper, scissors’ to decided who was going to score a touchdown in the 4th quarter:

The Denver Broncos put a whipping on the Oakland Raiders on Monday.
Peyton Manning picked apart the Raiders defense from start to finish and the outcome of the game was never really in question.
So, it should come as no surprise that the Broncos running backs, Ronnie Hillman, Knowshon Moreno, and Montee Ball, relegated themselves to a game of "rock, paper, scissors"...
