In the 24 hours after running back Ray Rice stunned the San Diego Chargers with his game-saving catch-and-run, the football world teammates, fans, and former NFL players turned talking heads marveled at the play, saying it was among the greatest individual efforts they had seen.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh believes Rices remarkable play is going to go down in history.
Were all going to talk about the fourth-and-29, he said at his Monday news conference. I said [Sunday] night it was the greatest play Ive ever seen or been a part of. It was 11 guys who made the play happen. One guy had a real big role in it. It was a sensational play by Ray Rice.
Harbaugh praised his players for positioning themselves well with the win, but he stopped short of saying that Rices game-saving play should be considered a turning point for his 9-2 team.
I admire the play. Like I said, its the greatest play Ive seen, Harbaugh said. Well see what it means if we can capitalize on it and stack some success on top of that. Source: Baltimore Sun Posted via Mobile Device Attached Thumbnails

Rice saves game with 4th and 29 conversion
In a game where things were awfully slow up to the fourth quarter, one of the most impressive plays of the year emerged. Down by three with just under two minutes to go, Ravens RB Ray Rice converted an incredible 4th and 29, setting up one of the longest conversions in NFL History, topping Freddie Mitchell’s famous 4th and 26 play against the Packers. The conversion set up a Baltimore...

Ray Rice Converts 4th and 29 to Set Up Game Tying Field Goal (Video)
Ray Rice has been my favorite running back in the NFL for a long time now. This is one of the reasons. The man is a strait up beast and has determination on every run. Never seems like the guy takes a play off. The Ravens were in a dog fight yesterday with the San Diego Chargers. Rice grabbed this screen pass in the video below and took it 29 yards for a 1st down. Oh...

Yup, Sports Friends might be our favorite new thing ont he web. With Ray Lewis injured, Ray Rice asks Joe Flacco to give the team’s pre-game speeches.
Ray Rice’s unbelievable 4th down conversion sent Ravens to OT win over Chargers (GIF)
I couldn’t believe this play when I first saw it. First, the fact that the Ravens were able to convert on 4th and 29, which just shows how completely inept the San Diego Chargers are. And secondly, that Ravens QB Joe Flacco threw a check down pass to Ray Rice on 4th and 29. Flacco should be very thankful that Rice is an explosive playmaker, because had he not converted, Flacco...

John Harbaugh Reportedly Nearly Had Ravens Mutiny
NFL coaches face daily challenges the public never sees. For Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh, one of his most pivotal moments of the season came in a closed-door team meeting way back on Halloween as the team was returning from a bye, fresh off their 43-13 pasting at the hands of the Houston Texans. Harbaugh told the team they were practicing in full pads and the players nearly...
The 2012 NFL Play of the Year Brought to You By Ravens RB Ray Rice
The Chargers had the Ravens beat. Until they didn’t. San Diego led 13-10 and had Baltimore down to what may have been its last play. Not only was it fourth down with 1:59 left in the game, but the Ravens also needed 29 yards to get a first down. Impossible, right? Not if Ray Rice is on the field. From his own 37-yard line, Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco took the shotgun snap and...
Rice's big run, Tucker FGs give Ravens 16-13 win
It was such an unbelievable play that Ray Rice reached deep and used a nursery rhyme to describe it.
''Check down, Hey Diddle Diddle, Ray Rice up the middle,'' the Baltimore running back said with a smile after the Ravens converted a fourth-and-29 play to help force overtime before stunning the San Diego Chargers 16-13 on Sunday.
It was almost an afterthought that...
John Harbaugh’s players almost turned on him
Baltimore Ravnes head coach John Harbaugh told Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports that his players almost turned on him before their bye week.
Harbaugh told his players that they would be practicing in pads after getting blown out and embarrassed by the Houston Texans. It didn’t go over well and things almost got really ugly.
Practicing in pads did not go over well with some of...

Best Play in NFL History?
Is it possible? Could the best and worst plays in NFL history really have happened during the same weekend of football? If you watched the Baltimore/San Diego game yesterday evening, you’re sure to know what I’m talking about. It was 4th-and-29 with about 1:20 left to play in the fourth, with the Chargers needing just one final stop to earn the 13-10 victory over the Ravens...
