Heading into their 4th preseason game, the Cardinals still have not announced a starting quarterback. However, they have announced that John Skelton will start and play into the 3rd quarter this week. The Cardinals played in the Hall of Fame game to start the Preseason so they have 5 Preseason games instead of 4, so this 4th preseason game will essentially be used like their 3rd preseason game. Typically, the 3rd preseason game is your dress rehearsal for the regular season. Teams have typically decided all of their starters by this point and will play them into the 2nd half. Though the Cardinals have not officially named Skelton the starter, he will essentially be doing everything a starting quarterback normally would this week and, barring a complete meltdown during the game, he should be their week 1 starter. Skelton hasn’t exactly set the world on fire with his play this Preseason, completing 10 of 15 for 90 yards, a touchdown, and an interception, but he’s basically won the job...

Kurt Warner the latest to criticize Kevin Kolb

And the hits just keep on comin' for oft-criticized Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb. When he's not being booed by the hometown fans or ripped by the opposition, the 28-year-old even hears it from a former legend. Speaking to the Arizona Republic, ex-Cardinals QB Kurt Warner criticized Kolb for a lack of improvement, noting he's playing too fast and hesitant to ...

Cardinals’ Beanie Wells still having trouble cutting in practice

Though Beanie Wells had what was called minor knee surgery way back in January, he has yet to play in a preseason game. An injury prone player who apparently is a slow healer, Wells is reportedly still struggling to cut in practice, according to XTRA 910 Arizona’s Mike Jurecki. In spite of this, Wells is expected to suit up for his 1st preseason game this week, but will see limited...

Hot Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders (Gallery)

Hot Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders.  Sadly today goes to the Arizona Cardinals and I only say that because it was suppose to be the New York Giants today, but I just found out that they don't have a cheer leading team.   Seriously?  Didn't know that was possible.  Just an absolute disgrace to the NFL. Clearly that means we are done with the NFC East and onto the NFC...

Cardinals O-line suffers painful loss in Brown

TEMPE, Ariz. -- A look of disgust crossed Lyle Sendleins face as he imagined the impending fan reaction to Levi Browns triceps injury Friday night against the Oakland Raiders. It makes me sick thinking about what people are going to say, the Cardinals center said. People have no idea how much he does for us. Cardinals fans are about to get a tangible measure of Browns value to...

Justin Bethel emerges as special teams star

Arizona Cardinals 6th-round pick Justin Bethel, out of Presbyterian College, has already made his presence felt. While he’s listed as the third-string free safety, he is seeing significant time on special teams and making an immediate impact. Bethel has already blocked a punt and an extra point, and likely has a spot on the 53-man roster due to his performance. As a 6th-round...

Cardinals’ Levi Brown could be done for the year

The Cardinals allowed the 2nd most sacks in the league last year, allowing 54, and now they have been dealt a huge blow to their offensive line as Levi Brown could be out for the year after tearing his triceps. Brown has been described as “right on the margin” to return this season after undergoing surgery and if the Cardinals are out of the playoff race late in the season, very...

Ken Wisenhunt not concerned about Beanie Wells’ knee

AP Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Wisenhunt made it clear that he’s not concerned at all about the knee of running back Beanie Wells heading into this week’s preseason game. “I’m excited to see him in a game,” Whisenhunt said per AZCardinals.com. “There’s no concern with him at all with his health.” Wells is a very good back and if he can stay healthy along with...

By BOB BAUM AP Sports Writer FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- The Arizona Cardinals have wrapped up their training camp in Flagstaff, still looking for a starting quarterback with just two preseason games remaining. The team worked out for a little more than two hours on Tuesday, then headed down I-17 to Phoenix. They leave Wednesday for Tennessee and a preseason game against the Titans on...

Cards’ Brown Could Miss Season with Torn Tricep

While Michael Vick may get all of the press, the preseason has been unkind to more than just star quarterbacks. The Arizona Cardinals also received a huge blow when news emerged that starting left tackle and former Penn Stater Levi Brown tore his tricep and could be out for all of 2012. The former All-Big-Ten lineman underwent surgery to repair a torn right triceps tendon...

DAY 16: Leach cracks whip, ST report, CB sits

PULLMAN–The Cougs came out Sunday lacking vigor, hustle and effort. Fighting sweltering heat, the Wazzu offense sputtered and failed to establish any sort of tempo. And Mike Leach wasn't pleased. He proceeded to make it very clear to the players that if the Cougs are going to go anywhere this year, it will be predicated on effort and hustle. Plus, a ST report and a corner was...

Why the Cardinals must talk Kurt Warner out of retirement

It seems like a long time ago Kurt Warner led the Arizona Cardinals to their first Super Bowl when you look at the state of the team today. It also seems not so long ago that Larry Fitzgerald’s fantasy value was at the peak of his career looking at the team today. The Arizona Cardinals [...]

The Fear

Would you keep doing this? This last weekend, after another starting perfor- mance that has left his team's fans wondering for the thousandth time whether or not Kurt Warner could be coaxed back into the NFL, Arizona Cardinals' starting QB Kevin Kolb had his courage questioned by Raiders' DT Tommy Kelly. Kolb fired back, and the snitfit was on. (And yes, I know that Kolb...
