Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune reported exclusively today that Chicago Bears wide receiver Johnny Knox is going to start the season on the physically unable to perform list (PUP list). That means Knox will miss at a minimum the first six games of the season.
Further pushing back Knox's chances for missing the season is the revelation that his injury is a bit worse than initially thought. This complication has led to a recovery and rehab process that's likely going to take longer than initially reported.
This information from McClure reveals why the Bears went after free agent Pro Bowl WR/KR Eric Weems, essentially to make up the Knox's loss of production.
In other developments Devin Hester is likely to see a more prominent role in the offense as a wide receiver. Hester will remain the primary punt returner, but will not be as prominent in the kick return game.
This information further means that the Bears could look to more wide receiver help in the draft. ...

According to Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune, Bears wide receiver Johnny Knox will likely begin the 2012 season on the physically unable to perform list (PUP) after suffering a spinal fusion injury during the 2011 season.
There’s a good chance that Knox may not be able to play in 2012, but if he begins the season on the PUP list, he’ll at least have a chance to play.

The Matt Forte and Chicago Bears drama has moved to the next act.
Forte took a one-year deal last season, knowing an injury could seriously hurt his pay in the offseason. When it happened, the Bears would have been foolish not to franchise him—he was perfect for his role in that offense, but they did not know if he would be the same back.
GOTTA BE THE SHOES
Chicago Bears’ wide receiver/punt return specialist, Devin Hester, recently released photos from his twitter account of his Jordan shoe collection and it is one of the craziest collections I have ever seen. Hester wears No. 23 on the field and it seems that his love affair with the Jordan brand doesn’t stop on the field, dude rocks J’s and a lot of them. Sneakerheads around...
TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT
Bears president and CEO Ted Phillips told a Chicago newspaper that the team has made a strong offer to the running back and added that the Bears "are still hopeful he accepts it."
After undergoing surgery to stabilize a vertebra in his back as a result of a violent collision in a December regular season game against the Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears WR Johnny Knox is hoping to return to the field in 2012. On Monday, it was reported that Knox will likely start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list for the Bears.
The Chicago Bears have need...
Take a look at Devin Hester’s collection of just Michael Jordan brand shoes. The amount of Jordan shoes he has insane.
It might blow your mind. Hester shared the photos with the Twitter world yesterday afternoon.
He claims that he has worn each pair once. Which is astonishing to me.
More pictures of his Jordan shoe collection can be seen here.

The Vikings stayed in the division in signing former Chicago Bears cornerback Zackary Bowman to provide another veteran option at a position of need heading into the draft
The Chicago Bears finished an active week by learning of a retirement, seeing a core special teamer leave, and learning that a beleaguered backup Quarterback was moving on to sit behind one of the all-time greats. In other words, just because the season’sover doesn’t mean the NFL news cycle stops. Running back Marion Barber clearly saw the handwriting on the [...]
Cornerback Zachary Bowman, whose Chicago Bears career never matched his athletic skills, found a new team Monday when he agreed on a one-year deal with NFC North division rival Minnesota. The Bears were not interested in bringing him back. Bowman tallied 117 tackles, seven interceptions, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in his Bears career. He started 16 games throughout his [...]
I expressed earlier this week that Manning to Denver (and thus, Tebow out of town) was a move I could support. I definitely see the logic behind the decision and bringing in one of the best the game has ever seen instantly places the Broncos in the playoff/Super Bowl conversation.
That’s fine. The move is a [...]
