In the three previous years that Edgar Jones has spent with the Ravens, he has spent perhaps an equal amount of time lining up as a linebacker and a tight end. Jones, an undrafted rookie in 2007 who is entering his fourth season, is back to playing linebacker/defensive end – a position he flourished in when he played at Division I-AA Southeast Missouri State. “I’m getting back to it,” said Jones, who led the nation in sacks with 12 in 2006. “It’s like I’m getting more comfortable as time goes by. As soon as you put the pads on, you have a tendency to get high and play high. But the more you get into training camp, you’ve got to work on your pad level. But I’m getting a lot more comfortable at linebacker and defensive end.” Jones doesn’t regret his brief foray at tight end.
