Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson claims that he’s “on schedule” after undergoing a knee scope this preseason. “Our main goal is San Fran (Week 1),” Nelson said, via the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. “And that’s just a goal. You never know what could happen. We’ll just continue to go day by day.” Nelson called the scope “minor,” adding “if it was that significant, I wouldn’t be out here in two weeks.” The Packers can probably get by without Nelson, but it would really help them if he could get back for week one.   Need NFL Tickets? Eddie Lacy out to prove Packers are better with him

First he was overrated, not worth a first-round pick. Then he got to camp and he was ‘too fat’. Eddie Lacy must’ve heard all that, because he came out like he had something to prove Saturday night against the Rams. Lacy started the game after two weeks of injury-laden training camp practices which lead to hesitation that he would play at all against St. Louis. But play he...

Green Bay Packers: Some questions now have answers

Eddie Lacy (Photo Credit: Dilip Vishwanat/Getty Images) Before the start of the preseason, the Green Bay Packers had some pending questions regarding their football team.  Would Mason Crosby be the kicker for the season or would he be run out of town?  Would two-time national champion Eddie Lacy emerge as the leading running back as only a rookie?  Would Jarrett Boykin or Jeremy...

Coach Mike McCarthy is getting more options for the Packers' backfield. Incumbent starter DuJuan Harris is itching to play after missing time with a knee injury. Rookie Eddie Lacy has Green Bay fans buzzing after showing off his spin move and power-running style in his preseason debut last week against the Rams. The running backs will be in the spotlight in the Packers'...

Green Bay Packers Training Camp Report: The Good and Not So Good

Who Had a Good Week: Eddie Lacy, RB-Anyone who viewed Saturday nights performance by Eddie Lacy had to feel good about what saw in his quarter and a half of action.  Lacy looked every bit as strong and rugged a runner as advertised and clearly put himself head and shoulders ahead of any other running back who has performed for the Packers thus far this preseason.  The Packers...

Packers expect 'all-out war' with Seahawks

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Nearly one full year later, Green Bay Packers safety M.D. Jennings is still reminded constantly about his role in the infamous conclusion of the Monday Night Football game against the Seattle Seahawks. Call it the Fail Mary or the Inaccurate Reception or the game that finally got rid of the NFL's replacement referees, it's the moment that Jennings isn...

2013 Green Bay Packers Preview

The defending NFC North champions are looking like a much different team after a long offseason. They added running-backs Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin through the draft, as well as a potential difference maker on defense in versatile defensive end Datone Jones. They lost receiver Greg Jennings, but still have several weapons at Aaron Rodgers's disposal. Losing tackle Bryan...

It’s Not a Rematch-It’s a Preseason Game

If you are a Green Bay Packers fan, odds are you did not sleep well on September 24, 2012. Why would this have been the case? Because you just watched the worst officiating blunder in the history of the NFL-the Fail Mary:     It is still difficult to find the words to express just how piss poor of a call this was, as well as accurately describe the emotions Packers fans were...

TE Jermichael Finley shining in Packers camp

Neither a defender nor the sound of a whistle could stop Packers tight end Jermichael Finley. Two passes, two nice catches on the run for Finley in practice Tuesday. After sidestepping defenders for extra yards, Finley kept right on going for the goal line each time even after coaches blew the plays dead. By all accounts, Finley is having one of the best preseasons of his six-year...

Packer Themed Car Contest To Be Held

After my trip to Lambeau field two seasons ago with my father a Wisconsin native, I truly realized how seriously Green Bay fans take their football as the parking lot was a mass of the famous green and gold color scheme. Apparently come to find out, now a Packers themed car contest will be held in order to pay homage to the folks who chose to decorate their means of transportation...
