Paul Calvisi of Arizona Sports 620AM reports that “multiple NFL sources” have informed him that former Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt is a “a very strong candidate” for the Philadelphia Eagles head coaching vacancy. Multiple NFL sources tell me this morning that Ken Whisenhunt is “a very strong candidate” to become the next head coach of the Phi Eagles. — Paul Calvisi Several reports have suggested that Seahawks DC Gus Bradley is at the top of their wish list, but he will be meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday. Jacksonville has added a well respected executive as their new GM, so there’s actually a decent enough chance that he could lure Bradley away from the Eagles. Whisenhunt has been scrutinized for personnel decisions in recent years, specifically regarding the Cardinals’ quarterback position, but he too is well respected around the league. He was a finalist for the Bills and Browns jobs before they chose to go in a different direction. The Eagles have already missed out a number of candidates, so it would make sense that they would have a strong backup option in place if they end up losing out on Bradley.
