The Houston Texans first training camp practice was missing a few notable names.
Running back Arian Foster, free safety Ed Reed and receiver DeVier Posey are all on the physically unable to perform list as camp began Thursday, reports the Houston Chronicle.
In addition to those players, the team is also without ILB Darryl Sharpton, who reported Thursday, but was placed on the non-football injured list. On the non-football illness list was tight end Garrett Graham, who was apparently sick yesterday; no word on his availability for Friday.
Per Ultimate Texans: ' Foster has been rehabilitating a calf injury he suffered in the first organized team activity. Coach Gary Kubiak said he will keep Foster on PUP “a couple of days” so he can watch him run before he joins his teammates for full practices. Reed is an obvious PUP player because he can’t practice. He’s recovering from arthroscopic surgery on his hip. Receiver Andre Johnson said today Reed told him he will play in the regular-season opener at San Diego. Posey has made a terrific recovery from surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon but can’t go full speed. Until he can, he’ll remain on PUP. '
