Kris Jenkins is the latest person to rip into the Jets and analyze their problems. A day after rookie quarterback Greg McElroy blasted the selfish attitude of certain Jets players, former Jets defensive tackle Kris Jenkins joined in. Jenkins believes McElroy took a leadership stance that starting quarterback Mark Sanchez should be assuming. “The No. 1 quarterback should have said that a long time ago,” Jenkins said on The Mike Lupica Show. “It would have been all part of the process of him growing a pair and standing up and being a man. But the thing is, he lost his because he got caught up in the wash that is New York, the spotlight, taking pictures in the magazines and doing all that stuff. That’s just what everybody has seen with Mark Sanchez, they got tired of it.” Jenkins is referring to the GQ photo shoot Sanchez did, one which fellow quarterback Aaron Rodgers called “embarrassing.” Jenkins said players get paid to be leaders, and his point was that Sanchez hasn’t been leadin...

Boomer Esiason Says Mark Sanchez Plays Like a “chihuahua”

Former New York Jets quarterback Boomer Esiason thought he’d weigh in on the Jets disappointing season and quarterback Mark Sanchez on WEEI radio in Boston. “If you watched Mark Sanchez the last month of the season, he was like a chihuahua standing on Madison Avenue and 36th Street entering the Midtown Tunnel, eyes bigger than you-know-what, and just so shaky,” said Esiason...

No Surgery for Sanchez

Right now, no surgery is planned for QB Mark Sanchez, I’m told. He played with a pinched nerve in his neck/right shoulder area for the final six games. Statistically, his efficiency on deep passes declined over the final six games, possibly due to the “burner.” Sanchez did have an MRI at some point, and the course of treatment for now is rest. — Rich Cimini, ESPN NY This...

The Mark Sanchez Meter: Final Edition

You couldn't swing a dead cat this summer without hitting someone telling you that it was imperative that Mark Sanchez showed marked improvement as a quarterback this season. Because of that we thought we'd check in weekly to see how the Sanchize is progressing toward that goal. When this project started back in September, the idea was that we'd all join together once...

Former Jets NT Kris Jenkins Calls Out QB Mark Sanchez

Former Jets defensive lineman Kris Jenkins took to Mike Lupica's radio show to talk about the unintentional comedy stylings of the New York Jets and Mark Sanchez. “The No. 1 quarterback should have said that a long time ago,” Jenkins said, referring to backup Greg McElroy's recent public comments about the sorry state of the Jets locker room. “It would have been all part...

Boomer Esiason Compares Mark Sanchez to Chihuahua, Criticizing Quarterback's 'Skittish' Play

Boomer Esiason doesn't think too highly of Mark Sanchez and the Jets right now, and he made that known on Wednesday morning. LIVE CHAT: Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.

The Jets' season may have ended Sunday afternoon in Miami but there's still plenty to talk about. Is Mark Sanchez really a franchise quarterback? What are the Jets going to do about Santonio Holmes? Does the team really want Brian Schottenheimer back running the offense in 2012? Manish ...
