The Atlanta Falcons had to place defensive end Kroy Biermann on the injured reserve list with an Achilles injury, ultimately ending his season.  Biermann, who also doubles as a linebacker in certain schemes, was a major cog in their defensive unit. Look for Jonathan Babineaux to attempt to pick up the slack with the loss of Biermann. An already less-than-stellar Atlanta defense really can’t afford this blow.  The post Kroy Biermann Placed On Injured Reserve By Falcons appeared first on FFLockerRoom.

Take A Moment To Celebrate The Glory Of William Moore Spinebustering Mike McNeill

Atlanta Falcons safety William Moore was tasked with stopping Rams TE Mike McNeill and did so WITH AUTHORITY, dropping McNeill with a spinebuster. The only way it would’ve been cooler is if he’d turned around before dropping him. Actually, it also would’ve been cooler if he’d let McNeill fall a little farther down his back, hooked his head and sat down with White Noise...

Falcons place linebacker Sean Weatherspoon on short-term IR

On Tuesday the Atlanta Falcons placed linebacker Sean Weatherspoon on short term injured serve. Weatherspoon, 25, is the latest member of the Falcons defense to go down with an injury. On Monday the team placed Kroy Biermann on the season ending injured reserve list with an Achilles’ injury. SPINEBUSTER: Falcons safety William Moore drops the boom I thank The Lord for life’s...

Steven Jackson - Could Misst 2-4 Weeks

The Atlanta Falcons could be without newly acquire RB Steven Jackson for the next month, due to a thigh injury he suffered in Week 2.  Jackson had stud fantasy season written all over him in the Falcons prolific offense, but this injury will force Atlanta to rely on Jacquizz Rodgers and Jason Snelling in the backfield.  Rodgers COULD be a beast in this offense if he can catch some...

Injured Falcons: Steven Jackson Out 2-4 Weeks, Spoon Out Months

If you missed recent reports, every Falcon is injured and won't play for weeks or even months, if at all this season.  The season is far from over!  Seems that some fans believe we will be fighting with the Jaguars for the first overall pick this year but Atlanta has some very nice talent that should step up.  It has gotten pretty confusing to remember who is out for the year...

The Atlanta Falcons have ruled running back Steven Jackson for their Week 3 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. “It’s short term,” coach Mike Smith said of Jackson’s absence. “Don’t know if that’s two or three weeks.” Smiths comments suggest that Jackson will miss Week 4 as well and the Falcons may keep him out through their Week 6 bye. The Falcons are left with...

Thigh injury ends Jackson's day early

Steven Jackson’s first-quarter touchdown got Atlanta off to a good start but that’s where his day ended.
