Photo Via HailRedskins.com After a little over two years, former Washington Redskins safety LaRon Landry is finally healed and ready to prove he’s better than ever—in New York.  The hard-hitting Landry signed a one-year deal with the New York Jets on Monday, which was announced by the team. Landry’s recent injuries prolonged his opportunity of being the league’s best strong safety. Clearly, the Jets’ one-year deal with Landry has everything to do with his previous injuries.  And the 27-year old safety is fine with that as he looks to prove that he’s back.  Landry has been banged up for the past two seasons, as he sustained a left Achilles tendon injury in 2010. The Achilles’ injury resurfaced towards the end of his 2011 campaign with Washington, after battling problems with his hamstring and groin during the beginning of the season.  Landry played in only 17 games for the last two seasons, which was extremely difficult for the 6-foot, 220-pound safety from Louisiana who never missed...

LaRon Landry Ends His Sorry Redskins Career, Signs With Jets

LaRon Landry, five years removed from being drafted No. 6 overall, is leaving the Redskins for a one-year, $4 million deal with the Jets. Not much to say other than, well, it was a strange and disappointing five years. Good luck to The Ron, and good luck to any shirts with sleeves in the NY metropolitan area. They’ll need it.

Drew Stanton requests release after Jets acquire Tebow

The main focus of the Jets’ acquisition of Tim Tebow is what it means for current starter Mark Sanchez. This move has a large impact on another quarterback as well, and these dominos might just stir up some qb competition in other spots around the league. That quarterback, who arguably is most impacted by Tebow’s cross country move, is Drew Stanton. Just six days ago, Stanton...

Tebow should provide jolt to Sanchez

OK, so now reports have surfaced that this Tim Tebow to N.Y. deal may die because, of all things, the Jets do not like language in the contract they may or may not have read. So my reaction to this news is more of an if, as in if this happens. If this does kill the deal, well, my apologies for wasting your time. If not and the Jets pony up, the $5 mil, though, I promise it will be...

Totally Inexplicable!

Tim Tebow is coming to New York. Really. After a big false start, the New York Jets pulled off a Tebow-like comeback Wednesday night, getting the quarterback who turned the Denver Broncos from an also-ran into a playoff team last season and became the NFL’s most talked-about player — for a fourth- and sixth-round draft pick. Now, Tebowmania is opening on Broadway. And, there’s...

TOJ Analysis Of Tim Tebow Trade

Well, it is has happened. The New York Jets, masters of the media spectacle, have traded for Tim Tebow. They gave up a 4th and 6th round pick and received a 7th rounder back from Denver as part of the deal. I was about clear as possible that I wasn’t in support of this move prior to it happening but it has happened. I root for the laundry folks, just like you should and would...
