The Tennessean reports that LB David Thornton thinks he’ll be ready to go for the season opener:
Titans linebacker David Thornton said he’s “very confident” he’ll be ready for the regular season opener against the Raiders on Sept. 12, but he’s not sure when he will be able to practice. “This is the first training camp I have not been able to take a part in, the early stages,” said Thornton, who is recovering from shoulder surgery and a troublesome hip. “So that is a little challenging.” Thornton, who is coming off shoulder/pectoral surgery and has been dealing with a troublesome hip, has not cleared him for contact by doctors.
