The wait is over for Curtis Martin. After a stellar 11-year career running the ball for the New York Jets and New England Patriots, Curtis Martin has been elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his second year of eligiblity. Martin was elected Saturday night along with defensive tackle Cortez Kennedy, defensive end Chris Doleman, left tackle Willie Roaf, center Dermontti Dawson, and cornerback Jack Butler. Notably, Martin’s mentor and former coach Bill Parcells did not make it in with Martin in the 2012 class, just missing out on his first year of eligibility. Wide receivers Tim Brown, Cris Carter and Andre Reed were snubbed from this year’s class as well. Curtis Martin played three seasons in New England before coming over to the Jets, and his 14,101 rushing yards are fourth all-time behind only Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton and Barry Sanders. Martin is one of only two players ever to rush for 1,000 yards each of his first ten seasons, with Sanders being the other. A...

Five missed plays that changed Super Bowl

The New York Giants have won Super Bowl XLVI. Or, you might say, the New England Patriots lost it. The Patriots' loss to the Giants in Super Bowl XLII was due in large part to the Giants' ability to put pressure on Tom Brady. For that reason, much of the buildup this week has centered around the battle in the trenches. However, the real X factor could do most of his damage in the second level of the New York defense. Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has been dynamic...

No, more unbelievably thing was that Gronk wore a “Yo Soy Fiesta” shirt to...

One player who had a front row seat was former Patriot backup quarterback Michael Bishop. Bishop, at the time in 2000, had his fair share of hype and was one of four quarterbacks on the roster along with Brady, John Friesz and Drew Bledsoe. During Brady’s rookie season...
