Brian Dawkins-led player-supervised workout Thursday at the South Suburban Sports Dome drew roughly 14 players and 24 members of the media, depending on which group you put Rod Smith. "Brian Dawkins is one guy I never got a chance to play with and I'm upset about that," said Smith, who is retired as the Broncos' all-time leading receiver and now has his own weekly internet show. "What he's doing here is very smart, very professional. I can promise you, you can never work yourself out the way somebody else will." Loren Landow, head sports performance trainer from the Steadman-Hawkins clinic, has been leading the Broncos' hour-long workouts. Broncos' quarterback Kyle Orton again arrived early and threw pass patterns to receiver Eric Decker and tight end Dan Gronkowski. The Broncos' player-only workouts will continue next week with sessions on Monday and Thursday. Newcomers to the team workout Thursday were running backs Lance Ball and LenDale White and defensive lineman Ben Garland, who took a one-hour leave from his job as strength-and-conditioning coach at the Air Force Academy.
