St. Louis’ long process to fulfill its vacant general manager position is winding down and Les Snead, the Falcons director of player personnel, is a finalist for the position along with George Paton, Minnesota director of player personnel. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, multiple sources contend that it’s Paton’s job to lose. Snead was interviewed by the Rams early in January. The Rams then won the derby to hire Jeff Fisher as their head coach. Fisher then focused on hiring his coaching staff before the franchise moved back to its general manager search. In their process they have interview more than 10 people for the position. Snead has a second interview with the Rams on Feb. 1 so that he could interview with Fisher. Paton and Snead are expected to meet with Rams owner Stan Kroenke this weekend, and the new general manager could be in place by early next week.
