Browns starting left guard Eric Steinbach is out done for the season according to the Plain Dealer with a disc problem in his back and running back Brandon Jackson will be out possibly the whole season with turf toe.
Jackson hurt his toe in the second preseason game against the Lions and is in a cast. Coach Pat Shurmur said he’d need to let the toe settle down a bit before he can return, but the PD says the toe will cost him the 11 campaign.
He said he’s not sure when Steinbach will return, and that also seems like it could linger on. Shurmur said rookie guard Jason Pinkston has made tremendous progress and will most likely be plugged in there for the time being.
