From the moment Giants 101 was launched in 2004, James Douglas, known to all of us here as "JD in Dallas" and later "JD in LI", was a daily fixture and regular commentor. He was a good-hearted, lovable man who, for quite some time, was buried in enemy territory. His devotion to the New York Giants never wavered as he took on Dallas Cowboys fans daily.

Earlier this year, James moved back to New York and was excited about the opportunity to attend Giants training camp in Albany, and looked forward to meeting up with some of his Giants 101 brothers. Instead, JD will be watching Giants games from the best seat in the house: on a cushy cloud next to the good Lord himself.

JD was involved in a single-car accident over the weekend and rushed to Robert Packer Hospital in critical condition. He passed away on Sunday. He was 35.

For those of you that had the luxury of talking to James on Giants 101 or away from Giants 101, you truly understand how devastating a loss this is. Not only to the Big Blue community, but to humanity and society as a whole. James was truly, in every sense of the phrase, a great human being. He had been battling his own adversity for the last couple of years and did so with a motivational smile on his face. He had the ability to light up a room and ease your mind with a simple word.

I had the opportunity to talk to James away Giants 101 on many, many occasions and can't even put into words how tremendous a human being he was. We shared many great conversations -not always about football- and I feel truly blessed to have known him. My heart absolutely breaks for his friends and family…

To say James will be missed is drastic understatement. To my Brother from another Mother, may you rest in eternal peace.
