Lions defensive tackle Corey Williams is not participating in today's final practice before Monday's game against the Chicago Bears.
Williams, who is recovering from knee surgery, did not practice this past Wednesday, but was on the field Thursday and Friday. Detroit may have given Williams today off to rest, or he might not be ready to play.
In addition, Detroit Lions cornerback Jacob Lacey was not participating in the first 30 minutes of practice media members were allowed to watch, and it appears unlikely he will play against Chicago. Lacey is still recovering from a concussion injury he sustained against the Philadelphia Eagles and has not been cleared by doctors yet. Source: MLive.com Attached Thumbnails

Report: Suh called police after accident
In football, they say the tape doesn't lie.
The same can be said for 911 calls.
Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has been accused of leaving the scene of an accident last week by the driver of the other vehicle, Steve Vines.
Suh and Vines were involved in a fender-bender the morning of Oct. 11 near the Lions' practice facility in Allen Park.

Records Show Lions DT Suh Made First Call To Police After Accident -
When a Detroit area man accused Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh of sideswiping him and leaving the scene of an Oct. 11 accident, Suh’s past on- and off-field transgressions made the story seem plausible. One week later, however, 911 calls obtained by the same television station that reported the original...
Bear Breakdown: Analyzing the Lions’ Defense For Week Seven
When a team can put up the sort of offensive numbers that the Detroit Lions can, it is easy to ignore what they do defensively. So far in the 2012 season, the Lions defense is giving up an average of 324 yards of total offense, good enough for ninth best in the league.
The strength of the Lions’ defense lies in its front four. Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is still a terror...
Lions DT Ndamukong Suh Made First 911 Call After Incident Last Week
It appears Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh did the right thing after all by making the first call to 911 when he was involved in a two-car incident last week on the Southfield Freeway.
Suh called 911 at 6:28 a.m. Oct. 11 after the Range Rover he was driving collided with the 1999 Ford Escort that Stephen Vines, 43, of Livonia was driving. Vines called 911 at 6:29 a...
Lions Brace for Bears' RB Forte
If one was struggling to locate a list of top running backs in the NFL they would only need to review the Detroit Lions schedule -- making the task of stopping Monday night's opposing running back Matt Forte a challenge, but not necessarily foreign.
Lions CB's Bill Bentley Doubtful, Jacob Lacey Out For Bears Game
Lions rookie cornerback Jonte Green or veteran Alphonso Smith will likely start against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.
The Lions ruled cornerback Jacob Lacey (concussion) out for Monday's game, while rookie cornerback Bill Bentley (shoulder) is listed as doubtful. Bentley was limited in practices this week, and it is very unlikely he will play.
As a result, Green...
Lions-Bears Monday night storylines
Coming off a season-saving, confidence-building overtime victory at Philadelphia, the Detroit Lions head to Chicago to take on the Bears in a Monday Night match-up between bitter rivals.
Here are five storylines to watch:
1. Perceptions change so rapidly in the NFL. After a shaky Week 2 loss to Green Bay, the Bears were getting ripped and downgraded. Now theyre back up to No. 4...
Lions DT Corey Williams Returns To Practice After Recent Knee Surgery
Lions defensive tackle Corey Williams is participating in his first practice since undergoing knee surgery recently.
Williams had knee surgery on September 25 after injuring it this offseason. He was limited in practices prior to the surgery, and had been on the sidelines prior to today.
However, Williams was fully participating in the first 30 minutes of practice media members...
Bears, Lions downplay any ill will
Hard feelings? Bad blood?
The Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions for the most part did their best to downplay the idea leading into their game on Monday night.
It wasn't exactly an easy sell.
The way emotions boiled over the last time they met at Soldier Field, it's safe to wonder if sparks might fly this time, too.
If they do, players and coaches insisted it'll be because...
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears: Week 7 NFL Pick
Detroit Lions (2-3) at Chicago Bears (4-1)
This week, I put the Bears 1st in my Power Rankings. With the exception of the Thursday Night loss to Green Bay, the Bears have looked great this season, winning every game by 16 or more and only surrendering 7 sacks in 4 games. While you can’t completely ignore what happened on Thursday Night Football, it’s unreasonable to put too much...
Week Seven NFL Preview: Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears
The Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears will meet for the 165th time ever on Monday night.
The Bears lead the all-time series 94-65-5. Last season, they split the season series with Detroit winning the first game 24-13 in Week Five and Chicago winning the second game 37-13 in Week Ten.
The Bears are coming off a bye week and are currently on a three-game winning streak outscoring opponents...
Lions WR Calvin Johnson Accuses Eagles CB Nnamdi Asomugha Of Flopping
Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson caught a touchdown pass against the Eagles last week, but it was nullified when the referee ruled Johnson pushed off on cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.
"There was hardly any contact," Johnson told Chris McCosky of the Detroit News. "I was just feeling where I was at. I went back and watched it on film and I was like, 'Come on, ref...
Lions Injury Report: Jacob Lacey, Bill Bentley, Corey Williams
The Detroit Lions will face off against the Chicago Bears
tonight without their two starting cornerbacks, Jacob Lacey and Bill Bentley,
reports Kevin Seifert of ESPN.
Cornerback Jacob Lacey (concussion) was ruled out and cornerback Bill Bentley (shoulder) is doubtful, which likely means the Lions'
top three cornerbacks Monday night will be Chris Houston,...
Bears-Lions matchup throwback to “Black and Blue” days
When the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions get together Monday evening at Soldier Field, a lot will be on the line. Detroit hopes to turn their season around and vault back into the NFC North race, while the Bears are looking to make a statement and stamp themselves as legitimate NFC title contenders. In the modern NFL, these two teams [...]
