The Detroit Lions today claimed center Cody Wallace off of the New York Jets' practice squad, released cornerback Paul Pratt. The team also signed linebacker Bobby Carpenter after a workout on Wednesday. Carpenter, a former first-round draft pick, was released by the Dolphins on Monday. Carpenter, a former Ohio State star, was cut Monday by the Miami Dolphins after playing for the Dallas Cowboys for four seasons. Wallace was with the San Francisco 49ers in 2008 and 2009, playing one game.
