Lions coach Jim Schwartz said he never considered benching Matthew Stafford on Sunday, and praised the quarterback for taking accountability following a 38-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Stafford completed 24-of-50 passes for 246 yards, but threw three interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns. "I didn't consider benching him,'' Schwartz said during his Monday press conference. "He's our starting quarterback.'' Schwartz said as long as Stafford is healthy, he is going to play. "I don't want to farm somebody else's land, but why didn't the Saints replace Drew Brees after four (interceptions)?'' Schwartz said. "Hey, you put your best guys out there. That's our objective every single week. "Matt can make all the plays for us. He's brought us back plenty of times. We're not going to make changes just to make changes.'' Source: MLive.com
