After the punt game debacle against the Bears last Sunday, and Ryan Donahue still injured, the Lions decided something needed to be done. So they cut punter Robert Malone in order to sign Ben Graham, former Geelong Football Club centre half-forward / centre half-back and team captain.

ESPN.com reports: In the first two of what figure to be plenty of fines resulting from last Sunday's Bears-Lions game, sources said the NFL has fined Bears receiver Earl Bennett $10,000 for wearing orange cleats for a second straight week, and also fined Lions defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch $7,500 for hitting Matt Forte while he already was on the ground.
