Lions Sign DB Reshard Langford, Release LB Korey Bosworth

The Detroit Lions made a change to their roster on Saturday by signing safety Reshard Langford and releasing linebacker Korey Bosworth. Langford began his career as an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt in 2009 with the Philadelphia Eagles and later joined the Kansas City Chiefs. He appeared in six games for the Chiefs in 2010 and 11 in 2011. Last season, he had two starts for the Chiefs. The move to sign Langford was likely made to add more depth to the safety position. With Louis Delmas out after having knee surgery and Amari Spievey missing Friday's game because of headaches, there was a need to add a safety to the team.
