Found October 27, 2008 on Chiefs Gab:
The issues off the field just seem to keep getting worse for Chiefs RB Larry Johnson. Today Johnson was charged with simple assault for spitting his drink in a woman's face at a night club. It is the second type of charge that Johnson is facing, and one that very well may get him suspended by the league. Johnson already has sat the last two games for the Chiefs, and could be missing more time when all the facts come into the league. A police spokesman said that Johnson already has turned himself in, and was released after posting a $500 bond. This is the 4th time in five years he's been accused of assaulting a woman. The penalty for assault is a max $500 fine and 180 days in jail. The incident in question took place on October 10th during the Chiefs bye week. The woman went on to say that Johnson made threats to kill her boyfriend before spitting the drink in the women's face.
