The Panthers, who have the worst record in the league and the #1 pick in the April NFL Draft, will at least have one player in the Pro Bowl which will be played the week before the Super Bowl.

Left tackle Jordan Gross is the lone Pro Bowl selection, as he was honored with the selection for the second time in three years. He has started all 15 games following his return from a broken right leg that sidelined him at the end of last season.

In a statement released by the team, Gross says to be selected by his peers after recovering from a major injury is “such an honor. I feel blessed.”

Defensive end Charles Johnson failed to crack the NFC lineup despite ranking seventh in the league with 11½ sacks.
