Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has entered a not guilty plea following his arrest for investigation of driving under the influence in Northern California. Lynch's attorney, Ivan Golde, entered the plea on Lynch's behalf in Alameda County Superior Court on Wednesday. Lynch's arraignment was originally schedule for mid-August, but Golde said he moved up the initial court hearing in order to get more access to the evidence. Golde said Thursday he believes that unless the case is dismissed, it will not go to trial until after the 2012 NFL season is over. Lynch was arrested on July 14. He was charged with two counts in Alameda County, Calif.: driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol and driving while having a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher.

Marshawn Lynch should not play a down in 2012

Loss of Lynch would be devastating to Seahawks' QBs, offense

Because of several technicalities involving the NFL's various policies against off-field indiscretions, there remains some murkiness about how the league can proceed with any sanctions against Seattle tailback Marshawn Lynch, who was arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of DUI, then formally charged on Wednesday. This much, though, is crystal clear: The effect of a...

2012 Fantasy Football Preview: Seattle Seahawks

QB Matt Flynn - Matt Flynn should truly be commended as his only two starts in the NFL against the Patriots in 2010 and the Lions in 2011 earned him a three-year, $26 million contract. The Seahawks expect Flynn to win the starter’s job over Tarvaris Jackson and draft pick Russell Wilson because he’s smart and can properly manage a game. However, he doesn’t have a big arm...

*My* damn good reasons to love Seahawks hall of famer Cortez Kennedy

Seattle DT gets bust in Canton Ask me who the greatest player in Seahawks’ history is.  Go ahead, just ask.  Many people will say OL Walter Jones, and I can’t fault them for that, Jones was game changer for the ‘Hawks, but he won’t be my pick. WR Steve Largent?  Great, but not the top spot. There are other players in recent history people might throw around like RB Shaun...

Seattle Seahawks QB training camp competition preview

The Seattle Seahawks have one of the most intriguing quarterback competitions in the league. This summer, Tarvaris Jackson, Matt Flynn and Russell Wilson will compete to be the starting quarterback of the Seahawks. What adds to the intrigue of this competition is the fact that Seahawks’ head coach Pete Carroll is always willing to pick his guy and not the guy whose “supposed”...
