PLAYERS: Mario Williams
TEAMS: Buffalo Bills

You know what doesn’t make sense about the $2,000,000 mansion that Mario Williams just bought in Orchard Park, NY? The place has the biggest library we’ve seen in modern athlete house history. Who knew Mario was such a fan of hardbacks? Not us. The guy signs a $100 million deal with the Bills and decides he can’t live without a two-story library.

Hell yes, we’d rip out the bookcases & build a climbing wall. But, that’s just us.

According to the Buffalo News, this place used to be owned by a personal injury lawyer who is in jail for ripping off clients.

Built by Bernas in 2005, the two-story house includes a weight room, two laundry rooms, enormous walk-in closets, a bathroom with a whirlpool and white Greek columns, a spiral central staircase, fireplaces, floor-to-ceiling windows, a big modern kitchen, a two-floor library and study, and a four-car garage. The home is set on 10.2 acres.

And then the Buffalo News doesn’t post a gallery of what Mario got for his $2 million. Tsk, tsk, old media. You have to go house hunting on Trulia.

jQuery(function($){$("a img.gallery-wall-fade").hover(function(){$(this).stop().animate({opacity:.5},{queue:false,duration:400});},function(){$(this).stop().animate({opacity:1},{queue:false,duration:400});});});

Highlights of Mario Williams’ Orchard Park Pad:

• 5 bed; 5 full bath, 3 partials

• Breathtaking millwork!

• Look at that grand staircase!

• Oh, a pool!

• The batsh*t craziest living room we’ve ever seen

Mario Williams buys $2M mansion from jailed lawyer

Back in March, Mario Williams broke the bank -- or, likely, a chain of banks -- when he agreed to a six-year, $100 million contract with the Bills. The deal, which included a whopping $50 million in guarantees, made him the highest-paid defender in NFL history. Now that he's settled in the Buffalo area, Super Mario is putting some of that money to good use. Per the Buffalo...

Buffalo Bills: T.J. Graham Impressing at Minicamp

One day of Bills minicamp down and though we've been hearing about Mark Anderson's dominant play in 11-on-11 drills (he caused numerous incompletions stampeding into the backfield), as well as Steve Johnson's return (he ran routes on about 10 plays, more or less feeling things out again), there was a much better story. T.J. Graham looks good -- really good. At NC...

Ryan Fitzpatrick sees big things for the Buffalo Bills in 2012

It’s been a dozen years since the Buffalo Bills last reached the playoffs, but QB Ryan Fitzpatrick sees some big things for the team in 2012. The Bills should field an offense capable scoring a lot of points and with the additions on defense, Buffalo might be on the verge of competing for a possible wildcard berth in the very near future, if not 2012. Appearing on WGR radio in...

Buffalo Bills: Three Questions Heading into Training Camp

Last season, the only people who had questions about the Buffalo Bills were the fans in Western New York and even they didn't have any real concern about the answers. Ignored the country over since losing four straight Super Bowls, a half season of success in 2011 helped raised the eyebrows of the NFL again, as well as giving the hometown loyal a healthy dose of hope about what...

Bills' "No-Name" offense has top 10 objective

Receiver David Nelson sees no reason why the Buffalo Bills can't be one of the NFL's most productive offenses this season. In beginning to shed their adopted ''No-Name'' label last season, the Bills' collection of castoffs and journeymen showed signs of a spark in helping the team get off to a surprising 5-2 start before unraveling en route to a 6-10...

So there’s going to be a Bills movie?

The Buffalo Bills are hitting the silver screen! Well, sort of. Wannstedt takes straight-ahead approach to Bills D

If guarding against distraction is one of Dave Wannstedt's biggest concerns in assessing the potential of the Buffalo Bills new-look, Mario Williams-led defense, he's certainly looking the part. More out of necessity than design, the veteran coach and Bills first-year defensive coordinator can't help but maintain a straight-ahead focus because of the thick brace he&...

Will Johnson Be Ready To Go?

Bills WR Steve Johnson signed a big deal in the offseason, after a nagging question of if the team wanted him. Fighting his way back from injury, Johnson still has to prove he'll be ready once the season arrives.

5 Early Winners and Losers From Buffalo Bills’ OTAs

With Offseason Training Activities (OTAs) underway and training camp just around the corner, it’s time to take a look at some of the early winners and losers of the offseason. The Bills finally...

Buffalo Bills DE Mark Anderson optimistic about mini camp

Mini camp is usually that grueling part of the offseason that most players, especially veterans, wish they could avoid. But when a team has as many new additions as the Buffalo Bills had this offseason, it's never a bad thing to get the team together. "Right now at mini-camp we are just going over the plays," Mark Anderson told Buffalobills.com. "Learning...
