Wide receiver Mark Clayton really laid it on thick when talking with Nick Wagoner of stlouisrams.com about his future and if he would like to return to St. Louis next year.  Clayton is a free agent.

“I really want to be here,” Clayton said. “I was really excited about coming. I am totally committed to the organization, the players. I love Sam. I have developed relationships with guys on the defense and offense…I love the relationships. I love the organization. The coach is awesome, he’s passionate. I can relate to that. I would love to be here.”

Ok, Mark, we get it.  You like us.  And rightfully so.  Clayton had his best four game stretch in a long time before he blew out his knee in the Rams 5th game of the season.  Clayton had been working out with Rams rookie QB Sam Bradford at Oklahoma before the draft and the connection between the two was clear early in the season.  Bradford was comfortable throwing to Clayton and Clayton was playing better than he had in years in Baltimore.

It makes the most sense for the Rams to bring back Clayton for another year (and hopefully a full one).
