This play pretty well summed up the Jets’ night in their 49-19 loss to the Patriots at MetLife Stadium on Thanksgiving night.  New York had five turnovers, with QB Mark Sanchez accounting for two of them.  One came on an interception by safety Steve Gregory, and the other was a fumble that would be hilarious if it weren’t so sad, so depressing, so very Jets like. With 9:12 left in the second quarter, Sanchez attempted a run up the middle, only to run smack dab into lineman Brandon Moore’s ass.  The collision caused Sanchez to lose the handle on the ball as he was falling, with Gregory scooping up the loose ball and running it into the end zone for the easy score.  The fumble recovery for a touchdown put New England up 21-0, and made the terrible Sanchez look like a bumbling, doddering fool in the process. I’m not sure when during the game the Jets fans starting hollering for backup QB Tim Tebow, but  I think it’s safe to assume it was probably not too long after this ridiculous play. And if ever a play could be described as the most GIFable play of all-time, it might just be this one (via @cjzero)…
