Marlon Brown has been added quickly in many leagues but remains just 24% owned. Due to Jacoby Jones’ injury, Brown has vaulted up the depth chart to WR2 for the Ravens. Brown played in every single snap after the injury to Jones and showed great play-making ability putting up a 4/65/1 line against the Broncos in week 1. He definitely deserves a WR3 or flex spot in 12 team leagues, especially since the Browns top corner Joe Haden will be marking up Torrey Smith. Expect a lot of opportunity for Brown in the upcoming weeks in Baltimore.   TY Hilton – WR- Indianapolis Colts (vs. Miami Dolphins) Some of our toughest match-ups in fantasy are the ones we play against ourselves and by that I mean tinkering with your lineups right up to the 1 pm deadline and going for a Seyi Ajirotutu over a TY Hilton because were pissed off with their previous week’s performance. Although sometime’s it can be for the better but I still like Hilton a lot and he should be in your lineups this week. Especially with the most recent injury news of running back Vick Ballard (unfortunately) out of the season with a torn ACL. That coupled with Dwayne Allen being doubtful and very unlikely to play is a huge bonus for Hilton. TY finished week 1 with three catches for 20 yards. Not an inspiring debut for fantasy owners but he still was second on the team in targets with 5. He should be in for a nice bounce-back week as the Allen news is big because it should force the Colts to use more three wide-receiver sets and Ahmad Bradshaw is still new and not 100% acclimated to the offense yet. So expect a heavy dose of Andrew Luck and probably a double in Hilton’s targets this week. After week 1 one of the first things out of Coach Chuck Paganos mouth was, we have to get Hilton more involved so keep him in! Brian Hartline – WR- Miami Dolphins (vs. @Indianapolis Colts) Let’s stick with the same game shall we! Brian Hartline has never really lived up to his 12 catch 253 yard performance last season but he just may have turned a corner and Mike Wallace is definitely the reason. Wallace for the most part is sure to draw up top corner’s weekly freeing up Hartline for room to run. His week 1 performance leading the team with 15 targets may not occur every week but he should be at the top. Don’t let Mike Wallace’s rant scare you just yet. Yes the Dolphins may try to get him more involved, but Ryan Tannehill is not a guy who’s going to throw it into double coverage. He’s getting a lot better and has a nice chemistry with Hartline so ride the wave this week. Hartline over Wallace for me! Chemistry wins. Just ask Walter White! Brandon Myers – TE- New York Giants (week 2 match-up vs. Denver Broncos) Brandon Myers actually led all Giants receivers in week 1. I don’t think that will be a weekly thing but he definitely a top 12 TE and worth a start this week against the Broncos. I suspect most teams will be playing from behind when facing Denver this year so keep that in mind this week! Myers should continue to roll with the running back position up in flex after David Wilson’s week 1 debacle. Also of note, the oldie Dallas Clark led all Ravens in targets week 1 against the very same Broncos so I’m sure Myers will be up to par. Desperate times call for desperate measures Sometimes you have no depth and just got to roll the dice, and if that’s the case Doug Baldwin is your man. Not sure what the passing game will be like this year in Seattle but it’s evident it should be pretty sporadic. The good news is the Seahawks play at home this week where there a much better team. I like Baldwin to have another very solid game because of that chemistry word I love. Not sure why I do, I was terrible at chemistry in school! Baldwin did lead the team in week 1 with 8 targets and hauled in 7 of those for 91 yards. He worked almost exclusively from the slot which suits Russell Wilson’s comfort zone. Something I like to call a not too shabby kind of start. Also of note, just wanted to point out that Anquan Boldin has reached must start status every week. His fearless attitude and working the underneath routes as well as the slot will earn him a marriage made in heaven with Colin Kaepernick. Any thoughts/opinions? Feel free to comment below!
