Found August 03, 2013 on My Sports Rumors:
Martellus Bennett is wasting no time in letting his new Chicago Bears teammates know that he has a fighting spirit. During practice yesterday Bennett got into it with a few members of the defense and it wound up turning into a bigger incident. The good thing is no one was hurt and it wound up just one of those things that happen with every team at least once during training camp. The practice was pushed back from the morning after a storm came through and it was a chippy affair as tight end Martellus Bennett got into it with safeties Major Wright, Chris Conte and Craig Steltz and then a mini-fracas started after cornerback Kelvin Hayden tackled Bennett and the tight end responded by swinging with punches. “It’s hot, you know,” Bennett said. “I am actually a mean person. I know you all think I joke around and (stuff) but I am not. I am very aggressive. They are aggressive with me, I am aggressive with them. You come hard at me, I come hard at you all day. I mean, I don’t back down ...

OC Aaron Kromer's strategey is to get RB Matt Forte the ball as much as possible

Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer’s strategy in 2013 is very simple, get RB Matt Forte the ball every opportunity. Kromer is moving the offense to a zone blocking scheme that will allow Forte not to have to power through man to man blocking, instead making one cut and heading downfield. He feels the running back has the patience to excel in the scheme. “Our...

Bears’ GM Explains Firing of former HC Lovie Smith

The firing of former Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith was always going to be one of the more peculiar moves of this off-season for the Chicago Bears, at least in my opinion. Smith went 81-63 in Chicago with a Super Bowl appearance and had just won 10 games the season prior. A track record that many teams would love for their head coach to have. For the first time, Bears’ GM...

Check Out Jay Cutler's $10K a Month Crib

There is one thing about athletes and celebrities that I will never quite understand. For some reason most of them seem to think that they need to get these huge houses with nine bedrooms and 23 bathrooms just because they can afford it. Do they like to sleep in a different room each day of the week or something? I don't know. I suppose its good to be prepared for...

Devin Hester Says New Pro Bowl Changes ‘Suck for Me,’ NFL Is ‘Messing With People’s Jobs and Lives’

The Pro Bowl will no longer include kickoffs starting with this season’s game, and that makes Devin Hester just a bit upset. The NFL announced several changes to its annual all-star game Wednesday, which most notably includes that teams will now be selected by captains in a fantasy-style draft instead of the traditional AFC versus NFC format. But Hester, who is the kick returner...

It’s a contract year for Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, and it seems as if Cutler isn’t sure of his future. Cutler married Kristin Cavallari this past year, and the two have a son together who will turn 1 in August.  The birth of Camden has led to the couple deciding to ditch Cutler’s ritzy downtown Chicago apartment for something more quiet and kid-friendly. Cutler...

How will the recent surge of injuries to key players, which includes four new maladies from last night’s practice, affect the Chicago Bears’ roster heading into the preseason?

VIDEO: Trestman in Action

Offseason changes leave Bears with more questions than answers

By Rob Yarborough His former teammate Brian Urlacher provided a nice distraction during the offseason. But now the heat is back on Jay Cutler. As Urlacher put a period at the end of a probable Hall of Fame career, Cutler enjoyed some wedded bliss as he married reality sweetheart Kristen Cavallari in June. It was just one of many changes the embattled Chicago quarterback will face...
